1. 'Youth Group' for teens aged 11+, meets every Saturday 6-7:30 p.m., in the parish hall. We emphasize community building, creative games, non-coercive and encouraging teaching; and of course, lots of snacks.
2. ‘The Philosophy Group’ for older teens 15+. The group meets irregularly and begins at 6:00 p.m., with the length of the evening varying. We begin with a shared meal at the Rector’s home, followed by reading and discussion. Authors we have introduced include Kierkegaard, Heidegger, C.S. Lewis, and Kant, as we discussed topics such as anxiety, the nature of goodness, freedom, education, and virtue. Please contact the office to learn of the next date, admin@stbarnabaschurch.ca
