We hope in each to foster community that is awake and caring; and to help us to grow in the knowledge and love of God. Please get in touch at admin@stbarnabaschurch.ca with any questions. See the end of the page for the upcoming dates for these programs.

Tea Talks – Home-made traditional high tea, with expert-led discussion on a wide range of urgent topics: from politics to spirituality, to art and economics, to education and the environment.  We host about six tea-talks a year: please check our calendar to find out the dates, and invite a friend! More information can be found here.

‘Surrender’ women’s music and movement meditation – Every first and third Friday, 6 p.m., in the hall.  Jasmin leads a session of beautiful music, rest, movement, and blessing.  A safe environment to let go of daily stresses, and to connect with other women and the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit. Runs from September until June.

‘Barnaboys’ men’s breakfasts – The men meet for fellowship early-morning breakfast, every second Thursday of the month at 7:30 a.m., at Frankie's Modern Diner on Government St., for their hearty ‘breakfast special.’

Bible Study / Music and art meditation – Every Thursday,1:15-2 p.m. -, we meet in the parish hall.  The offering alternates weekly between Bible study, lead by Fr. Travis as we examine closely the previous Sunday’s Gospel, and a music and art meditation, as Jasmin leads us in a theological and spiritual exploration of a piece of music or work of art.  God speaks to us through parable, story, and symbol.  This way of ‘speaking’ is disparaged in our culture and that only the scientific method is, ultimately, truth-telling.  We come together on Thursdays to learn otherwise.  Runs from September until June.
