 d German tradition celebrating the story of St. Martin — a soldier remem
 bered for his act of kindness when he cut his cloak in half to share with 
 a beggar in need.\nThe evening begins with a St. Martin’s Play in the ch
 urch\, followed by a lantern walk through the Fernwood neighborhood. After
  the walk\, return to enjoy hot apple cider\, fresh pretzels (cash only)\,
  and a cozy bonfire.\nIn the spirit of St. Martin\, we invite donations of
  dark socks for those in need. Socks will also be available for purchase a
 t the event.\nPlease bring:\n• A lantern\n• Rainwear (dress for the we
 ather)\n• Cash for pretzels\nPlease arrive early\, as parking is limited
